Security Engineer / Architect – London – 1 day a week in offcie – Azure, VM Ware, (Python, Golang, Rust, Perl, Bash, PowerShell, etc.), Linux, Windows

Team Structure
This role will report directly into the Head of Architecture & Engineering for the international business.
 
Experience
 

  • Experience securing cloud/virtualized environments (Azure and VMware preferred)
  • Knowledge of third-party auditing and cloud risk assessment methodologies
  • Familiarity with Active Directory security principles
  • Experience deploying and integrating security technologies
  • Experience with SIEM, SOAR, email security solutions, 2FA/MFA, and/or vulnerability management software preferred
  • Strong Linux and Windows server skills
  • Familiarity with security architecture best practices
  • Ability to investigate, prioritize, and measure impact of security architecture issues
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, work independently, and use discretion surrounding sensitive information
  • Knowledge of network and system-based attacks and mitigation methods
  • Strong foundation in and in-depth technical knowledge of security engineering, computer and network security, and authentication and security protocols
  • Skill in writing scripts in at least one modern programming or command language (Python, Golang, Rust, Perl, Bash, PowerShell, etc.) preferred, but not required

 
 
Skills/ Attributes Required
 
 

  • Minimum of 3 years of Information Security experience required
  • Able to work independently and enjoy a high degree of interaction with team members
  • Ability to contribute to a collaborative environment by consistently demonstrating teamwork, high motivation, positive behaviour, and effort to achieve goals and objectives
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Maintain a sense of urgency and ability to work with and meet deadlines
