Senior Accountant | 12-month FTC
Location: London (Hybrid, 3 days per week in the office)
Start Date: Ideally no later than the end of November 
Package: £90,000-£100,000 + 10% completion bonus

Working with an established London based insurer, as they look to continue to strengthen its finance function, this role has been upscaled to bring in a tech-savvy Senior Accountant who can combine strong technical reporting with modern, data-led insight. 

The position will support both UK and US GAAP reporting, as well as Bermuda-related projects with a focus on data analysis, automation, and control improvements. You’ll work closely with the Finance Systems Manager and Data Analytics teams to enhance reporting capability and deliver better visibility across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of monthly US GAAP and annual UK GAAP reporting across multiple entities.
• Refine and maintain a robust control environment, ensuring compliance and process consistency.
• Support Bermuda Quota Share accounting and data reconciliation projects.
• Collaborate with the Finance Systems and Data teams to optimise automation and data analytics.
• Drive efficiency in reporting through Power BI, Workday, or similar tools.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and investment providers.
• Mentor and review work from junior finance team members.

Skills & Experience

• Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Strong insurance background – Lloyd’s market experience highly desirable
• Strong Excel and data manipulation skills; exposure to Workday, Phinsys, or Power BI a plus
• Confident handling large data sets and exploring AI-driven or automated reporting improvements
• Strong communication, organisational, and control-testing skills
