Senior Delegated Underwriting Analyst

A newly created opportunity has arisen for an experienced Delegated Underwriting professional to take ownership of regulatory and compliance matters across a growing delegated function. Reporting directly to the Head of Delegated Underwriting, this role will work across onboarding, oversight, and audit; providing a central point of expertise for all regulatory developments impacting the Delegated portfolio.
 
You’ll act as the bridge between regulatory change and business implementation, assessing the downstream impact of updates from Lloyd’s, the LMA, and wider regulators, ensuring these are understood and embedded across underwriting, operations, and coverholders.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the review, interpretation, and communication of regulatory and compliance changes affecting delegated business, advising on updates needed to maintain compliance.
• Support the oversight process by assessing breaches to authorities using bordereaux data and ensuring appropriate escalation or remediation.
• Evaluate delegated underwriting governance and, working with senior leadership, ensure processes align with Lloyd’s, FCA, and wider regulatory expectations.
• Contribute to reporting and governance outputs for internal and external stakeholders, including FCA submissions, Solvency II and Lloyd’s Europe.
• Identify and coordinate training or support for coverholders and internal teams on regulatory developments.

 
Experience Required

• Strong understanding of Lloyd’s and regulatory frameworks relating to delegated underwriting.
• Experience working within a Delegated Authority in the London Market.
• Confident communicator with the ability to translate regulatory change into practical application.
• Analytical and detail-driven, with experience interpreting bordereaux and governance data.
• Highly organised with attention to detail and experience managing competing priorities.
