Senior Delegated Underwriting Technician

Delighted to working on an exclusive basis to support this is a key hire within a collaborative Delegated Authority team, led by an experienced and highly technical manager who is hugely supportive of their team.

The role offers broad exposure across the delegated authority lifecycle, supporting underwriting, product governance and operational oversight.

You’ll take ownership for a portfolio of Coverholders; from onboarding and due diligence, through contract reviews, to audit coordination and MI reporting. It’s a technical position requiring strong attention to detail and confidence managing multiple stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the onboarding of new Coverholders, reviewing procedures, permissions and risk assessments.
• Review Binding Authority Agreements for compliance, contract certainty and regulatory accuracy.
• Undertake PBQA and wording reviews across aligned products.
• Coordinate and track audits, mid-term reviews and follow-up actions.
• Produce MI and portfolio reports for Committees and Boards.
• Support Product Governance and Conduct reviews across the delegated portfolio.

Experience required:

• Previous experience within Delegated Authorities, or exposure to binders, PBQA reviews or wordings within an insurer, broker or MGA environment.
• Confident managing multiple tasks, deadlines and stakeholders.
• Analytical, detail-focused and adaptable; comfortable working in a team that’s evolving its structure and processes.
