Senior Reinsurance Claims Broker

We are partnering with one of the most exciting Brokers in the London Reinsurance market to grow their Reinsurance Claims function with this new hire. Our client is going through a period of exponential growth doubling in size over the past couple of years with expansion set to continue. Reporting into the Head of Claims you will act as the lead claims broker on large complex reinsurance business across Property Treaty, Casualty Treaty, Specialty Treaty and Facultative Reinsurance. 

Looking to speak with highly knowledgeable reinsurance claims professionals, from either a broking or adjusting background, to manage large reinsurance contracts emanating from the US and across International territories. Excess of loss treaty reinsurance experience is essential for this role along with quota share and facultative claims knowledge. You will have excellent relationships with reinsurers in the Lloyd's and Company market facilitating a smooth claims experience for clients globally.

• Primary mandate is to consider the best outcome for the Client through providing support in the broking of Property, Casualty and Specialty Casualty Reinsurance Claims.
• Analyse/evaluate and process excess of loss, proportional and facultative reinsurance claims according to contract terms and guidelines, and established company processes.
• Liaise with reinsureds and reinsurers regarding claims queries and issues as mandated.
• Analyse and evaluate contract wordings in order to assist in considering coverage and indemnity owed to a claim according to the terms and conditions of the original policy and reinsurance contract.
• Maintain follow-up records and review claim files to expedite the reporting of developments according to contract reporting guidelines.
• Timely performance of technical functions, drawing on technical experience and internal resources to meet department objectives and expectations, according to SLA’s.
