I am delighted to be working with a Leading International Lloyd's Syndicate to introduce an expert and knowledgable underwriting Contracts Manager. They are looking for someone that ideally has experience handling Property & Liability wordings. You will be joining a highly skilled wordings team and you will be responsible for managing and maintaining an effective oversight of the contract documentation. You will also be responsible for the drafting, development and negotiation of policy wordings and associated documentation for agreed classes of business.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure that Lead Slips and associated contract documentation align to pre-bind quality assurance requirements, using the Lloyd’s QA Tool and other tools as required
Develop and enhance the approval and review processes for insurance contracts
Assist with follow and renewal Slips as required by the Underwriters
Provide technical support and expertise (internally and externally as required) in relation to the drafting, development and negotiation of policy wordings
Manage “in-house” contracts of insurance for AUL and ASE
Review insurance clauses in accordance with relevant Wording Repositories and maintain a library of preferred wordings, clauses and endorsements for use by the Underwriters
Act as a liaison between the Underwriters and BTS to manage contract documentation within RiskWrite
Oversee benchmarking exercises and product reviews to ensure that the contract documentation remains fit for purpose and compliant with regulatory requirements
Obtain external advice and manage external relationships to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Contract Management team
Ensure that such enquiries relating to contract documentation are resolved within appropriate timeframes
