About the Role:
Join their newly formed Wordings Team and play a pivotal role in providing technical expertise to their Underwriting Teams. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and implement the Wordings Strategy.

Key Responsibilities: As a Wordings Specialist, you will:

  • Develop and manage the wordings strategy in collaboration with the Head of Wordings and Underwriting Teams.
  • Negotiate and draft (re)insurance contract wordings.
  • Provide wordings advice, coverage insights, and exclusions recommendations to underwriters.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as compliance, claims, risk, legal, and delegated authority, as required.
  • Liaise with the Outwards Reinsurance Manager when needed.
  • Deliver training and development sessions on wordings matters for underwriters.
  • Contribute to the development of wordings, clauses, exclusions, and new products.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes and developments in insurance law and practice.

About You: 

  • Extensive experience in wordings within the London Market.
  • Proactive and self-starting attitude, capable of managing tasks effectively and communicating objectives clearly.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Adaptability and confidence in handling diverse work requirements.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS software.
