Are you an experienced Professional Lines Claims specialist ready to step into a senior, visible role within a leading London Market environment? My client is seeking an Assistant Vice President – Professional Lines Claims to manage complex FI, D&O and E&O claims while supporting leadership, underwriting and key market stakeholders. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a senior claims leadership role with autonomy, visibility and the chance to shape claims strategy across a high-performing Professional Lines portfolio.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage and adjust complex Professional Lines claims (FI, D&O, E&O)
  • Assess coverage, investigate, reserve and settle high-value claims
  • Draft coverage positions, declinatures and strategic claim correspondence
  • Lead negotiations with counsel, experts and brokers
  • Oversee claims outside delegated authority and drive recovery actions
  • Support senior management with MI, reporting, large loss reviews and renewals
  • Contribute to audits, policy wording development and market engagement
  • Mentor junior team members and provide leadership support when required
What You’ll Bring
  • Extensive proven experience managing complex PI/Financial Lines claims across Company & Lloyd’s platforms
  • Strong knowledge of FI, D&O, E&O wordings and London Market processes
  • Skilled communicator with excellent technical, analytical and organisational abilities
  • Experience using ECF2 and strong proficiency with MS Office and claims systems
  • Confident negotiator with the ability to influence outcomes and work under pressure

I am currently working with a Lloyd's insurance company who is hiring an Underwriting Manager on a 12-month fixed term contract.    The Underwriting Manager reports directly into the Head of Underwriting Management & Portfolio Solutions and will oversee the day-to-day management of analysts within the Underwriting Management team.   The role is responsible for supporting the team’s key pillars: Performance Management, Governance & Controls, and Insights & Analytics.   Key Responsibilities Oversee production of internal and external reporting, ensuring regulatory returns are completed accurately and on time. Maintain and update policy documentation and underwriting controls to ensure continued effectiveness and regulatory compliance. Own the Year End Audit process and work proactively with auditors to resolve queries. Manage and support analysts within the Underwriting Management team. Drive continuous process improvements and support projects that enhance underwriting capabilities and reporting. Undertake any other related duties as reasonably required.   We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of five years Lloyd’s Market experience, line management skills, and strong analytical abilities including advanced Excel, Power BI/SQL.   You should have excellent communication, stakeholder management, and the ability to handle multiple projects efficiently.  This is a great position for someone that is immediately available/looking to return to market.  Apply today to be considered!
