You will be the primary point of contact for dealing with complex, high-level sanctions advisory queries for the wider business.
Role Responsibilities:
Leading as the key point of contact for all sanctions matters, providing clear, timely and pragmatic advice to the business.
Keeping abreast of UK, EU, US, UN and other relevant sanctions regimes, analysing developments and interpreting their impact on the Group’s operations.
Providing guidance on the practical implications of sanctions changes, ensuring the business understands its obligations and associated risks.
Acting as the key point of escalation for complex sanctions queries and screening matters.
Drafting, maintaining and reviewing sanctions related financial crime policies, procedures and supporting documentation, ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory and legislative requirements.
Provide training and coaching to the sanctions team, supporting their technical development and career growth.
About You:
London market experience and the application of regulations or legislation.
Extensive knowledge of sanctions advisory, especially in and around marine sanctions.
A proactive approach and a desire to take on new challenges.
Ability to learn quickly
Efficient prioritising and organising skills
Very good communication skills (both verbal and written)
Aptitude for process-driven tasks in a regulated environment

The role sits at the heart of delegated operations with a strong focus on data quality governance and oversight supporting underwriting and regulatory outcomes across the portfolio. You will take ownership of delegated data flows working closely with underwriting claims finance and compliance teams to ensure bordereaux data is accurate timely and fit for purpose.
