This is a high-impact role with a lot of flexibility and innovation — they’re actively testing new techniques and tooling beyond traditional GLMs, including Databricks, Python, and new feature engineering approaches. What They’re Looking For: Strong Python experience used in modelling, data handling, and coding reviews GI pricing experience (personal lines ideally) Strong academics, high-performing, ambitious, and collaborative 2–8 years’ experience — flexible depending on capability Day-to-Day: Building and testing new pricing models Trialling and integrating third-party data enrichments Reviewing peer code and strengthening internal model validation Some interaction with wider stakeholders (reserving, finance) depending on profile Core focus is on risk modelling, but with exposure to profitability analytics The team is really forward-thinking and focused on technical excellence

The focus is on: Improving pricing and risk selection sophistication Digitising pricing models and analytics Delivering scalable, self-service MI and portfolio insights It’s a central team working across lines, regions and stakeholders, rather than being embedded in a single product. Key Points Worth Highlighting Actuarial exams are not required (nor mandatory to study) Open to candidates from pricing, analytics, data science, consulting, commercial or personal lines backgrounds Typically suited to 1–2 years’ experience (pricing or data science background both considered) Strong emphasis on learning ability, ownership, and delivery mindset No line management responsibility Flexible working arrangements supported What They’re Looking For At a minimum: Strong numerate background Interest or experience in pricing, analytics or modelling Exposure (or strong desire to develop) in tools such as: Excel, SQL Python / R Power BI / DAX (nice to have, not essential) Someone comfortable owning analytical work and collaborating across stakeholders Previous (re)insurance pricing experience is beneficial but not a prerequisite.
