An established London Market insurer is seeking an Investment and Financial Risk Lead to provide 2nd Line oversight across liquidity, credit, investment, treasury and reinsurance counter party risk. This is a strategic leadership role with strong executive and Board visibility.

The Opportunity
Lead oversight of financial risk exposures across the balance sheet, shaping capital optimisation, stress testing and risk appetite while ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and Group strategy.

Core Responsibilities
• Provide 2nd line oversight across liquidity, funding, capital and treasury activities
• Challenge asset-liability assumptions, investment exposures and counter party risk
• Lead stress testing, scenario analysis and reverse stress testing
• Deliver financial risk opinions and reporting to senior committees and Board
• Strengthen governance, model oversight and regulatory compliance
• Partner cross-functionally to support capital optimisation and balance sheet resilience
• Lead and develop a high-performing financial risk team

What We’re Looking For
• Senior financial risk experience within a regulated insurance or financial services environment
• Strong technical grounding in liquidity, credit and investment risk
• Experience leading stress testing and capital frameworks
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide credible challenge
• Strong leadership presence and team development capability

An established insurer is seeking a Head of Operational Risk to lead and embed the Operational Risk framework across the business. This is a senior, high-visibility role working closely with executive leadership. The Opportunity Drive best practice in the identification, assessment and management of operational and wider non-financial risks, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk management, strategic objectives and regulatory expectations. The Opportunity: Own the oversight and challenge of underwriting performance, capital adequacy and model governance, ensuring risk appetite is embedded and aligned to PRA and Group expectations.
