This is a high impact opportunity for an experienced Delegated Authority professional to take ownership of audit activity across a complex portfolio of Coverholders and delegated arrangements. You will play a key role in analysing audit outputs, identifying risks and driving meaningful improvements across governance and oversight.
Joining a well established London Market insurer, you will gain strong visibility across the business while working closely with senior stakeholders. The role offers the chance to shape audit processes, influence decision making and build towards a more senior position within delegated authority oversight.

Key responsibilities:
  • Supporting the delivery of the annual audit plan, including scheduling and coordination of Coverholder and DCA audits
  • Reviewing and analysing audit reports, ensuring findings are clearly identified, tracked and escalated where required
  • Leading on follow up actions, ensuring audit recommendations are closed in line with internal standards
  • Working closely with internal teams and external partners to agree appropriate remediation actions
  • Producing regular MI and reporting on audit activity, key risks and areas of concern
  • Supporting the development and enhancement of audit frameworks, processes and controls
  • Contributing to risk based oversight approaches across delegated authority arrangements
  • Representing the team within internal forums and supporting wider stakeholder engagement
  • Maintaining strong awareness of regulatory requirements including conduct risk and financial crime

Experience you’ll need:
  • Strong Delegated Authority experience with a focus on audit, oversight or governance
  • Good understanding of Coverholders, Binding Authorities and DCA relationships within the Lloyd’s market
  • Ability to analyse audit findings and translate them into clear actions and improvements
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to challenge where needed
  • High attention to detail with a structured and organised approach

Delegated Authority Analyst This is a great opportunity to join a growing London Market insurer in a role focused purely on the pre bind side of Delegated Authority. You will work closely with Underwriters to support the approval of new and renewing delegated arrangements while ensuring each placement meets internal and Lloyd’s requirements. You will gain strong exposure across Coverholder due diligence, contract reviews and regulatory checks. The role offers the chance to build technical DA knowledge within a supportive team while becoming a trusted point of contact for Underwriters across the business. Key responsibilities: • Completing pre bind reviews across binding authorities, lineslips and consortium arrangements. • Carrying out due diligence on new and renewing Coverholders. • Reviewing delegated contracts to ensure they meet internal standards and regulatory requirements. • Supporting new Coverholder applications and approval processes. • Completing regulatory checks across areas such as licensing, financial crime and sanctions. • Reviewing Lloyd’s international trading requirements as part of the approval process. • Working closely with Underwriters to resolve queries before delegated arrangements are approved. • Liaising with brokers and Coverholders to obtain outstanding information and documentation. • Maintaining accurate records across Delegated Authority systems. • Supporting the use of Lloyd’s platforms including Atlas, DCOM and Crystal. • Ensuring pre bind controls are completed correctly and within agreed timescales. • Providing guidance to Underwriters on Delegated Authority processes and requirements. Experience you’ll need: • Experience within Delegated Authority or Delegated Underwriting. • Knowledge of Coverholder due diligence and pre bind processes. • An understanding of binding authorities and delegated contracts. • Familiarity with Lloyd’s Delegated Authority requirements. • Experience using systems such as Atlas, DCOM or Crystal would be beneficial. • Strong attention to detail with good organisational skills. • Confidence working with Underwriters, brokers and Coverholders.
