An exciting opportunity to join a growing London Market business at an important stage in the development of its Bordereaux function. This role would suit an experienced Bordereaux professional who wants greater ownership and the opportunity to help shape how the team operates as the business continues to grow.

You will join an expanding team with the chance to bring ideas to the table and improve existing processes. Alongside managing the day to day Bordereaux workload you will help guide more junior members of the team and work closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

Key responsibilities:
  • Taking ownership of Bordereaux processes across the function.
  • Managing risk and premium Bordereaux while ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Supporting the management of binding authorities and delegated business.
  • Working closely with Underwriters and Finance to resolve Bordereaux queries.
  • Supporting reconciliation of Bordereaux and remittance information.
  • Overseeing the onboarding of new binders onto internal systems.
  • Reviewing existing processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Helping introduce stronger controls and more effective ways of working.
  • Providing guidance and support to less experienced members of the team.
  • Working with senior stakeholders on projects linked to the continued development of the function.
  • Ensuring accurate records are maintained in line with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
Experience you’ll need:
  • Strong experience working within Bordereaux in the London Market.
  • A good understanding of delegated business and binding authorities.
  • Experience managing risk and premium Bordereaux.
  • Confidence working with Underwriters and other internal stakeholders.
  • The ability to identify process improvements and bring new ideas into a growing function.
  • Experience supporting or guiding junior colleagues would be beneficial.

Senior Credit Controller

An established and high-performing organisation within the Lloyd’s insurance market is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Credit Controller to take responsibility for a significant Delegated Authority portfolio.  Working closely with internal underwriting teams, Lloyd’s Brokers and Coverholders, you will play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate settlement of premiums, identifying outstanding balances and driving effective resolution of problem accounts. Take ownership of a sizeable Delegated Authority portfolio, using reporting and analytics to monitor account performance, identify discrepancies and address emerging issues. Manage the end-to-end premium settlement process across key accounts, including premium signings, bordereaux and reconciliation of written versus settled premiums. Build strong relationships with Lloyd’s Brokers and Coverholders, proactively managing outstanding balances, resolving queries and driving timely payment in line with agreed terms. Work closely with Underwriting and internal stakeholders to manage challenging accounts, investigate documentation and data issues, and agree appropriate actions to minimise credit risk. Support the continued development of the Credit Control function through improved reporting, data analytics and the introduction of technology-led solutions. About You A strong working knowledge of the premium settlement cycle for Delegated Authority business within the Lloyd’s market. Good understanding of the Lloyd’s binding authority format, including key terms and conditions from a premium credit control perspective. Excellent communication and relationship-management skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with Brokers, Coverholders and internal underwriting teams. Experience working with the Insurers’ Market Repository (IMR) and maintaining policy documentation and associated settlement information. A proactive and analytical approach, with the confidence to challenge where necessary and drive outstanding balances through to resolution. A highly respected and rapidly growing MGA is looking to appoint a Marine Claims Adjuster to join its collaborative claims team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced marine claims professional to handle a diverse portfolio of international marine claims whilst working closely with underwriters, brokers, experts, and external stakeholders. The role offers significant autonomy, exposure to complex risks, and the chance to help shape claims processes within a business known for its entrepreneurial culture and specialist market expertise. You will be responsible for managing marine claims from first notification through to resolution across a variety of marine classes. Working within a specialist underwriting environment, you will play a key role in delivering excellent service to brokers and insureds whilst ensuring claims are handled efficiently, fairly, and in line with policy coverage. This position would suit someone looking to move into a more visible and influential role where they can work directly with senior stakeholders and have genuine input into decision-making. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of marine claims from notification to settlement. Investigate coverage, liability, and quantum issues. Liaise with brokers, insureds, surveyors, lawyers, adjusters, and other external experts. Negotiate settlements and reserve claims appropriately. Monitor exposures and identify potential large loss developments. Provide technical claims guidance and support to underwriting colleagues. Attend broker and client meetings where required. Ensure claims are handled in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements. Produce management information and claims analysis to identify emerging trends. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the claims function. Experience Required Previous experience handling marine claims. Exposure to one or more of the following classes: Marine Cargo Hull & Machinery Marine Liability Ports & Terminals Logistics & Transit Risks Fine Art & Specie (advantageous) Strong understanding of policy wordings and coverage analysis. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Experience working with brokers and external service providers. Ability to manage claims independently and make informed decisions.
