Coverholder Oversight Assistant

A great opportunity to join a growing London Market insurance business within its Coverholder Oversight team. This role will give you broad exposure across delegated authority while supporting the management of Coverholder relationships, due diligence and ongoing compliance.

You will work closely with the wider business while building strong knowledge across the full Coverholder lifecycle. It is a good move for someone with early Delegated Authority experience who wants to broaden their technical knowledge and develop within a supportive team.

Key responsibilities:
  • Supporting the oversight of existing Coverholders and ensuring ongoing compliance with insurer requirements.
  • Assisting with due diligence for prospective new Coverholders.
  • Reviewing due diligence information and identifying any gaps before approval.
  • Supporting Coverholder applications and changes through Lloyd’s Atlas.
  • Completing checks ahead of delegated authority renewals.
  • Monitoring annual compliance requirements and Coverholder attestations.
  • Supporting the scheduling and management of Coverholder and TPA audits.
  • Helping track audit recommendations through to completion.
  • Producing reports for internal committees and senior stakeholders.
  • Working directly with Coverholders to obtain required compliance information.
  • Supporting the onboarding of new brokers, insurers and other external partners.
  • Maintaining accurate records across internal systems.


Experience you’ll need:
  • Experience within the Lloyd’s or London Market would be beneficial.
  • Some exposure to Delegated Authority or Coverholder oversight.
  • A good understanding of compliance and due diligence processes would be useful.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Confidence working with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach with a willingness to learn.

A fantastic opportunity to join a growing London Market insurer in a key Delegated Authority Oversight role. This position will take ownership of governance and assurance across a broad delegated portfolio with real scope to influence how the function develops. A great step for a senior DA Analyst.  You will act as a senior point of expertise for Delegated Authority while working closely with Underwriting, Compliance and external partners. The role offers strong visibility across the business with the opportunity to improve controls, challenge existing processes and help shape best practice as the portfolio continues to grow. Key responsibilities: Taking ownership of the governance and oversight of Delegated Authority arrangements. Managing the full lifecycle of delegated relationships from due diligence and onboarding through to ongoing oversight and renewal. Leading risk based reviews of Coverholders and TPAs. Reviewing underwriting, claims and reporting standards across delegated partners. Monitoring Bordereaux, MI and KPI information to identify emerging risks or areas for improvement. Managing remediation actions following oversight reviews. Producing regular reporting for senior management and governance forums. Supporting compliance monitoring and thematic reviews across delegated business. Identifying and escalating risks, breaches or control weaknesses. Keeping Delegated Authority processes and frameworks aligned with regulatory requirements. Providing guidance to internal teams on Delegated Authority controls and best practice. Building strong relationships with Underwriters, Brokers, capacity providers and external partners. Representing the business at relevant market forums where required. Experience you’ll need: Strong Delegated Authority experience within the London Market. Good understanding of Coverholder and TPA oversight. This role would suit an experienced Bordereaux professional who wants greater ownership and the opportunity to help shape how the team operates as the business continues to grow. You will join an expanding team with the chance to bring ideas to the table and improve existing processes. Alongside managing the day to day Bordereaux workload you will help guide more junior members of the team and work closely with senior stakeholders across the business. Key responsibilities: Taking ownership of Bordereaux processes across the function. Managing risk and premium Bordereaux while ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Supporting the management of binding authorities and delegated business. Working closely with Underwriters and Finance to resolve Bordereaux queries. Supporting reconciliation of Bordereaux and remittance information. Overseeing the onboarding of new binders onto internal systems. Reviewing existing processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency. Helping introduce stronger controls and more effective ways of working. Providing guidance and support to less experienced members of the team. Working with senior stakeholders on projects linked to the continued development of the function. Ensuring accurate records are maintained in line with regulatory requirements and internal procedures. Experience you’ll need: Strong experience working within Bordereaux in the London Market.
