Arthur is please to share an opportunity to join the pricing function of a specialty insurer, supporting the development and delivery of pricing tools across local and global product lines.

The role combines actuarial expertise with an understanding of software development, contributing to the build, maintenance and documentation of pricing models used across the business.

Responsibilities:
• Provide actuarial input on pricing methodology and support the Pricing Build Manager.
• Develop new pricing tools for both local and global use, ensuring all work meets company and actuarial documentation standards.
• Support the replatforming of existing pricing tools and the migration of datasets.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with pricing, underwriting and development teams.
• Communicate pricing assumptions, modelling techniques and limitations to non-technical audiences.
• Ensure compliance with FCA, PRA and internal governance requirements.
• Produce clear documentation, commentary and insight aligned with internal policies and actuarial best practice.

Requirements:
• At least 3 years’ experience in general insurance pricing, ideally in the London Market.
• Qualified or part-qualified actuary (IFoA) or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical skills, including Excel, VBA, SQL and GLM or related modelling software.
• Experience of specialty pricing and familiarity with single-risk pricing models is an advantage.

Arthur is delighted to be collaborating with a speciality insurance and reinsurance company who, due to additional headcount and growth are seeking a Pricing Actuary to join their pricing function.  This position offers the opportunity to support pricing activity across multiple lines of business while collaborating closely with underwriting and other core functions. Responsibilities: • Deliver support for individual risks across various business lines, including both insurance and reinsurance products. • Develop and maintain pricing models to support underwriting decisions. • Profitability reviews and portfolio analysis to inform strategy. • Partner with underwriters in line with commercial needs. • Contribute to the development of pricing frameworks, including new methodologies and tools as required by the business. • Collaborate with teams across Actuarial Reserving, Risk, Claims and Finance Requirements: • Nearly/Newly Qualified Actuary (FIA or equivalent), with significant experience in case pricing • Strong background in actuarial pricing within the general insurance or reinsurance sector. • Lloyd’s or London Market is highly desirable. • Skilled in Excel; R or Python is advantageous. • Confident communicator with strong analytical skills  Right to Work:   Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
