What You’ll Lead
As Senior Solution Architect, you will:
  • Build system & application roadmaps that transform current-state platforms into cloud‑enabled, future‑proof solutions
  • Create flexible, modular, reusable designs aligned to enterprise standards
  • Provide architecture governance, design assurance and technology oversight
  • Mentor engineering teams, review designs & code, and champion best practice
  • Align tech direction with business outcomes, security standards and global governance
  • Support Agile delivery teams and embed DevSecOps principles into solution design
  • Evaluate new technologies and drive innovation through the organisation
  • Collaborate closely with product, infrastructure, engineering & security teams
  • Own all non-functional requirements and ensure solutions meet operational expectations
What You Bring This role will suit an architect with:
  • Deep experience in insurance (Underwriting, Claims, Policy Admin, PAS, portals)
  • Architectural leadership across transformation and modernisation programmes
  • Expertise in Cloud, APIs, Microservices, Integration Patterns, Eventing & DevSecOps
  • Experience with custom-built COTS/MOTS application landscapes
  • Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF is a plus)
  • Strong analytical thinking, communication excellence, and technical authority
  • Ability to mentor teams, challenge assumptions and guide delivery at pace
  • A hands-on mindset paired with strategic architectural thinking
Guidewire or large‑scale policy administration experience is a significant advantage, but not essential.

Reporting into the Head of Compliance, this roles offers genuine scope for growth and progression for any ambitious senior compliance individual in the insurance market.
