Delighted to be working with a leading Insurance Broker, operating in the London Market, who is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to lead on Commercial & Employment Disputes.

This role will play an integral part in protecting company business and reputation, and will focus heavily on restrictive covenant advice and support across the UK and EMEA.

As Senior Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for:

  • Advising on the enforceability and scope of restrictive covenants and providing legal advice, support and tactical guidance on this process.
  • Advising guiding the business in relation to legal risks associated with new hires.
  • Handling competition litigation brought by the company against ex-employees or their new employers.
  • Ensuring effective restrictive covenant protection when the business is acquiring new entities.
  • Representing the business in Court hearings and engaging outside counsel when necessary.
  • Supporting the business on wider litigation/employment issues across the UK and EMEA.

To be successful in this role, you will be:
  • A qualified lawyer within England & Wales or similar common law jurisdiction.
  • Ideally 7 years PQE.
  • Experienced in working within Insurance and Broking environments or working within commercial/financial services litigation in Private Practice.
  • Extremely knowledgeable regarding restrictive covenant and competition law, with exposure to team move disputes.

We’re looking for a motivated professional to join a growing investment risk team within a global financial services environment. Role Overview The successful candidate will help monitor portfolio credit risk, support reporting for internal committees, and contribute to data analysis used by risk, finance, and actuarial teams. The role provides broad exposure to credit markets, structured assets, and portfolio risk management. Key Responsibilities Analyse portfolio credit risk using financial reports and rating agency data, helping to identify emerging risks. Support the development of portfolio monitoring indicators and assist in reviewing a range of asset classes. Prepare dashboards, credit notes, and materials for internal committees and portfolio reviews. Maintain credit databases and assist with periodic verification and capital reporting processes. The organisation is known for its collaborative culture, strong technical capability and entrepreneurial approach, offering actuarial professionals broad exposure across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a reserving analyst looking to take the next step in their career to a Senior Reserving Analyst position. You will be working closely with the Head of Reserving and the wider actuarial team, and will play a key role in the quarterly reserving process and technical provisions work, while helping the business understand performance, emerging trends and reserve uncertainty. Responsibilities Support the quarterly reserving process across multiple lines of business. Analyse development trends and performance, highlighting areas of risk or opportunity. Assist in calculating and communicating reserve uncertainty and ranges. Contribute to technical provisions calculations, validations and regulatory reporting. Review gross and ceded data to ensure reserving inputs are robust and well controlled. Identify opportunities to improve reserving methodologies and valuation processes. Requirements: Progress towards actuarial qualification, with at least 3 years of reserving experience Lloys experience beneficial, but not essential The ability to translate complex analysis into clear insights for non-technical audiences. Strong Excel skills; experience with reserving software or coding tools would be advantageous. A collaborative mindset, intellectual curiosity and strong attention to detail. This role offers excellent exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to contribute to both technical reserving work and broader business insights within a dynamic Lloyd’s environment.
