This is an excellent opportunity for a reserving analyst looking to take the next step in their career to a Senior Reserving Analyst position.
You will be working closely with the Head of Reserving and the wider actuarial team, and will play a key role in the quarterly reserving process and technical provisions work, while helping the business understand performance, emerging trends and reserve uncertainty.
Responsibilities
Support the quarterly reserving process across multiple lines of business.
Analyse development trends and performance, highlighting areas of risk or opportunity.
Assist in calculating and communicating reserve uncertainty and ranges.
Contribute to technical provisions calculations, validations and regulatory reporting.
Review gross and ceded data to ensure reserving inputs are robust and well controlled.
Identify opportunities to improve reserving methodologies and valuation processes.
Requirements:
Progress towards actuarial qualification, with at least 3 years of reserving experience
Lloys experience beneficial, but not essential
The ability to translate complex analysis into clear insights for non-technical audiences.
Strong Excel skills; experience with reserving software or coding tools would be advantageous.
A collaborative mindset, intellectual curiosity and strong attention to detail.
