Arthur is supporting a growing Lloyd’s market managing agency that writes a diverse portfolio of specialty insurance and reinsurance business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reserving analyst looking to take the next step in their career to a Senior Reserving Analyst position.

You will be working closely with the Head of Reserving and the wider actuarial team, and will play a key role in the quarterly reserving process and technical provisions work, while helping the business understand performance, emerging trends and reserve uncertainty.

Responsibilities
  • Support the quarterly reserving process across multiple lines of business.
  • Analyse development trends and performance, highlighting areas of risk or opportunity.
  • Assist in calculating and communicating reserve uncertainty and ranges.
  • Contribute to technical provisions calculations, validations and regulatory reporting.
  • Review gross and ceded data to ensure reserving inputs are robust and well controlled.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reserving methodologies and valuation processes.
Requirements:
  • Progress towards actuarial qualification, with at least 3 years of reserving experience
  • Lloys experience beneficial, but not essential
  • The ability to translate complex analysis into clear insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong Excel skills; experience with reserving software or coding tools would be advantageous.
  • A collaborative mindset, intellectual curiosity and strong attention to detail.
