Senior Non Nat Cat Analyst

Eltham, Greater London, South East, England
Competitive
Permanent
Job Ref:BH-23323
We have partnered with a leading London Market insurer that’s strengthening its Exposure Management capability, with a particular focus on non-natural catastrophe risk.

They’re hiring a Senior Non-Natural Catastrophe Analyst to take ownership of how complex man-made and geopolitical perils are assessed across the group. Sitting within a central exposure function, this role works closely with underwriting leadership, catastrophe modelling, capital management, and reinsurance to ensure risk is well understood, appropriately modelled, and aligned to appetite.

What makes this role stand out
  • Clear ownership of non-natural perils including terrorism, war, marine, and aviation
  • High visibility with senior underwriting management, boards, regulators, and investors
  • Opportunity to shape scenario design, modelling approaches, and exposure frameworks
  • Genuine influence over group risk view in a rapidly changing geopolitical landscape
What they’re looking for
  • An experienced catastrophe modeller or exposure analyst
  • Strong understanding of non-natural perils and portfolio-level risk
  • Comfortable leading regulatory submissions and complex scenario analysis
  • Able to translate technical risk insights into clear messages for senior stakeholders
Hybrid working (London-based) with a minimum of two days per week in the office. This is an excellent move for someone who wants strategic ownership, senior exposure, and a chance to shape how non-natural risk is managed at group level.
