An established insurer is seeking a Head of Operational Risk to lead and embed the Operational Risk framework across the business. This is a senior, high-visibility role working closely with executive leadership.

The Opportunity
Drive best practice in the identification, assessment and management of operational and wider non-financial risks, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk management, strategic objectives and regulatory expectations.

Core Responsibilities
• Lead implementation and ongoing enhancement of the Operational Risk framework
• Provide independent challenge across operational risk, change initiatives and new business activity
• Monitor and report the aggregate non-financial risk profile to senior committees and Board
• Support risk appetite development, scenario analysis and emerging risk assessments
• Promote strong governance, control effectiveness and risk culture
• Lead and develop a high-performing non-financial risk team

• Senior risk experience within a regulated insurance environment
• Strong understanding of operational and non-financial risk frameworks
• Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders
• Proven ability to embed frameworks within evolving or changing businesses
• Strong communication and leadership capability
