This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a high impact Delegated Authority Manager role within a well regarded London Market insurer during a key phase of activity. You will play a central role in overseeing delegated arrangements, bringing immediate expertise across due diligence, audit and governance to ensure the smooth running of a growing portfolio.

Joining a collaborative and forward thinking team, you will be given real ownership from day one. This role offers strong visibility across the business, working closely with underwriting, operations and senior stakeholders while shaping best practice across the delegated authority framework.

Key responsibilities:
  • Overseeing the approval of new delegated arrangements in line with internal frameworks and Lloyd’s requirements
  • Managing the end to end due diligence process across new and existing Coverholders and delegated relationships
  • Leading the ongoing oversight and monitoring of binding authorities and DCAs ensuring strong governance standards are maintained
  • Managing the audit lifecycle including planning, coordination and resolution of audit findings
  • Providing quality control across Analyst output to ensure consistency and high standards across the team
  • Overseeing EPI processes and ensuring adherence to internal procedures
  • Working closely with operations on bordereaux reporting, data quality and timeliness of submissions
  • Acting as a key point of contact across the business providing guidance on delegated authority matters
  • Supporting wider team activity and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

Experience you will need:
  • Strong experience within delegated authority in the London Market with a focus on due diligence and oversight
  • Good understanding of Lloyd’s systems and regulatory expectations
  • Experience managing audits and governance frameworks across delegated portfolios
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload across multiple workstreams
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Previous experience overseeing or supporting junior team members

A leading insurer is seeking an Underwriting Governance Specialist to support the delivery of its underwriting audit plan and broader governance framework across all classes of business.   Working within a small, high-impact team, this role offers significant exposure to the wider organisation and plays a key part in supporting underwriting governance activities, including underwriting authorities, breach analysis, and exception reporting. You will also collaborate closely with senior underwriting and operations teams to help strengthen control frameworks across the business. Responsibilities: Support delivery of the underwriting audit plan across the organisation Assist in the development and ongoing enhancement of the audit and control framework Prepare pre-audit materials and support the execution of audits Communicate audit findings and updates to senior stakeholders and committees Track audit actions through to completion, ensuring timely resolution Support the management and annual review of underwriting authorities Assist with breach analysis, exception reporting, and peer review controls Contribute to the development of systems supporting remote auditing Support underwriting governance, training, and onboarding activities   Candidates will have experience within the Lloyd’s and/or company insurance markets, ideally gained through underwriting, delegated authority, or broader technical operational insurance roles.   The ideal individual will be a confident communicator with experience engaging senior stakeholders, alongside strong report writing skills, excellent organisation, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
