Business Analyst

London, Greater London, South East, England
£60000 - £70000 per annum
Permanent
Job Ref:BH-24344
Ready to shape how a leading insurance organisation works at its core? We’re hiring a Business Analyst to drive meaningful process improvement and operational transformation across a complex, fast-paced environment.

This role sits within a central Change & Transformation function, partnering closely with operations, underwriting, finance, and actuarial teams. You’ll play a key role in analysing, redesigning, and optimising business processes — helping the organisation reduce inefficiencies, embrace smarter workflows, and unlock measurable value.

You’ll work across both process and technology change, engaging stakeholders at all levels to diagnose challenges, map current and future states, and contribute to solutions that deliver tangible outcomes.

 What you’ll be doing:
  • Lead process analysis and improvement initiatives, using techniques such as process mapping, root cause analysis, and workshop facilitation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and deliver practical, value-driven solutions that reduce non-value-add activity
  • Support the development of business cases and benefit realisation plans, ensuring outcomes are measurable and tracked
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements and user stories, working closely with delivery teams
  • Build trusted relationships across the business to drive adoption of change and foster continuous improvement
  • Facilitate workshops and promote operational excellence best practices
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance capability, including through emerging technologies
What we’re looking for:
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a structured approach to problem solving
  • Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams
  • Experience in process mapping (e.g. swimlane diagrams) and facilitating workshops
  • Exposure to change management and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Agile, Six Sigma)
  • Interest in innovation, including workflow tools, automation, and AI
  • Experience within the insurance market (ideally London Market / Lloyd’s) with familiarity across underwriting, actuarial or finance environments
  • A proactive mindset with the confidence to step up and take ownership of deliverables
If you’re a Business Analyst who thrives on improving how organisations operate — and want to be part of a transformation journey with real impact — we’d love to hear from you.
