Delegated Authority Operations Analyst
A great opportunity to join an established London Market insurer within its Delegated Authority Operations team. This role will give you broad exposure across binding authorities, lineslips, consortia and Coverholder audits while developing your understanding of the wider delegated authority lifecycle.
You will work closely with the Delegated Authority Operations Manager while supporting reporting, operational controls and process improvement. It is an ideal move for someone with early Delegated Authority experience who wants to build their technical knowledge and take on greater responsibility within a growing area of the market.

Key responsibilities:
  • Supporting the day to day management of Delegated Authority accounts.
  • Assisting with Coverholder reports, audit reporting and wider operational MI.
  • Supporting monthly reporting for the Delegated Authority function.
  • Producing management information when required.
  • Supporting operational projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Working with underwriting controls teams on operational requests and spot checks.
  • Attending internal meetings and supporting the resolution of operational issues.
  • Maintaining accurate Delegated Authority records and ensuring strong data quality.
  • Developing relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting the team in maintaining strong regulatory and operational standards.

Experience you’ll need:
  • Around 1 to 2 years of Delegated Authority experience.
  • Understanding of Lloyd’s and London Market processes.
  • Exposure to underwriting processes and controls.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Confident communication skills.
  • Good Excel knowledge.

This is a strong opportunity to join an established Delegated Authority function in a role that sits close to underwriting and claims. You will take ownership across key areas of the delegated lifecycle with exposure to onboarding, contract review, conduct and ongoing oversight. The role offers broad visibility across the business with regular interaction across underwriting, claims, brokers and delegated partners. It would suit someone with a solid grounding in Delegated Authority who wants to build wider technical knowledge and take on more responsibility within a growing team. Key responsibilities: Supporting the onboarding of new Delegated Authority arrangements from initial due diligence through to approval. Coordinating information from underwriters, claims teams, brokers and delegated partners to ensure approvals are completed on time. Reviewing Delegated Authority contracts and supporting the business in making sure appropriate terms and controls are in place. Acting as a key point of contact for delegated partners and internal stakeholders. Supporting the ongoing oversight of delegated arrangements including service standards, bordereaux activity and performance information. Assisting with conduct and product oversight activity including product reviews and governance requirements. Producing regular MI and reporting for the Delegated Authority team. Reviewing data and reporting to identify trends, issues and opportunities to improve existing processes. Working closely with wider operational teams to support an effective Delegated Authority service. Experience you’ll need: At least two years of experience within the London Insurance Market in a Delegated Authority, operations, reporting or insurance support role. A good understanding of Delegated Authority administration and Lloyd’s market processes. Strong attention to detail with the ability to review information and identify key issues. Good communication skills with confidence working across different teams and external stakeholders. An interest in continuing to build your technical knowledge within Delegated Authority. Progress towards ACII would be beneficial but is not essential.
