Senior Risk Framework Implementation Lead We are seeking an experienced risk professional to lead the implementation and embedding of a significant enterprise risk management framework within a regulated financial services business.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across Risk, Finance, Operations, Compliance and executive leadership, you will play a key role in designing governance arrangements, embedding risk ownership, enhancing controls, and delivering high-quality risk insight to support effective decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation and ongoing enhancement of the enterprise risk management framework.
  • Design and embed risk governance structures, operating models and accountability frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise risk taxonomies, risk registers and assessment methodologies.
  • Facilitate Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) and support effective first-line risk ownership.
  • Support the development of risk appetite statements, tolerances, KRIs and risk reporting.
  • Oversee controls design, testing, remediation and ongoing effectiveness monitoring.
  • Coordinate risk reporting and management information for executive and board-level stakeholders.
  • Partner with operational resilience, outsourcing and third-party risk teams to ensure effective risk oversight.
  • Support risk system implementation, governance and data quality activities.
  • Deliver training and coaching to embed a strong risk culture and continuous improvement mindset.
Experience & Skills We're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
  • Significant experience within Enterprise Risk Management, Risk Governance or Risk Transformation.
  • Strong experience implementing or enhancing risk frameworks in regulated financial services environments.
  • Experience designing and embedding governance, controls and risk ownership models.
  • Proven delivery of large-scale change, transformation or implementation programmes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including engagement with senior executives and boards.
  • Experience of risk management systems and reporting platforms.
  • Knowledge of operational resilience, outsourcing risk and regulatory expectations.
Desirable
  • Experience within life insurance, pensions, retirement solutions, bulk annuities, or long-term savings businesses.
  • Understanding of prudential risk management, capital frameworks and regulatory governance requirements.
  • Exposure to Solvency II, ORSA, risk appetite frameworks or related insurance risk management disciplines.
