Tax Manager – 15-month Fixed Term Contract Insurance London | Hybrid (2 days office based) £75,000 – £85,000 (could stretch for an absolute superstar) An established insurance brokerage is looking to hire a Tax Manager on a 15-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. The role sits within a well-established Group Tax function and will work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with strong UK corporation tax experience, comfortable operating in a regulated environment, and able to manage external advisers and BAU tax obligations with minimal supervision. Key responsibilities: Ensure compliance with UK corporation tax obligations, including review of returns prepared by external advisers and quarterly instalment payments Support compliance for overseas corporate tax obligations alongside the International Tax team Manage relationships with external tax advisers Prepare UK tax provisions and disclosures for statutory and management accounts Support transfer pricing compliance and related documentation Assist with responses to HMRC queries and tax authority engagement Monitor and report tax risks into internal governance forums Maintain tax policies, tax strategy documentation, and the tax calendar Prepare UK VAT returns and support Making Tax Digital processes Provide practical tax advice on business transactions as required About you: ACA / ACCA qualified Strong UK corporation tax experience Background in a regulated financial services environment (insurance, banking, asset management, etc.) Comfortable managing advisers and working autonomously VAT and transfer pricing exposure beneficial but not essential

Key Responsibilities Liquidity Cash flow monitoring (past and future), Internal reporting to Risk and senior management Contact point and admin for Performance Oversight Working Group   Banking Facility Oversight and Management Ensure paperwork and covenants are up to date Internal reporting to Risk and senior management Projects Manage the delivery of cross syndicate projects across the business and ensuring actions are completed and followed up. Supporting Syndicate Reporting To provide support to the team, as required, to meet Lloyd’s submission deadlines Onboarding Liaise with Business Development for the financials of (prospective) new clients Liaise with banks to ensure documentation and Know your Customer (KYC) completion runs smoothly Expenses and Interest Liaise with Syndicate Accountants to provide monthly expense and investment return reports to management Providing Non-Tech balances to Ops for use in internal board summaries Banking Admin Main point of contact for online banking enquiries  Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Excellent understanding and knowledge of fundamental accounting principles. Qualified in a professional qualification or qualified by experience is preferable. Familiarity and experience of Insurance or company analysis. With an FP&A or Treasury background. Excellent knowledge of IT systems including Excel, Vision and Sun Accounts. Highly numerate and ability to produce consistently accurate and analytical work to tight deadlines Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing.

Arthur are working with a highly reputable Lloyd's of London firm that are looking to expand their finance team.  Key Responsibilities Maintain accounting records for syndicates (as delegated) including underwriting journals and assisting in the preparation of the trial balance. Responsible for the preparation of reconciliation work e.g. bank balances, LCA balances, overseas deposits and investment accounts Assist in the preparation of Lloyd’s Reporting forms as delegated, primarily VAT and cash based submissions. Lead the preparation of weekly/monthly/quarterly cash flow. To reconcile monthly control accounts and preparation of Trial Balance Prepare, submit and account for direct cash payments (cheque, global transfer or internet banking). Liaise with auditors and external clients as necessary Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Good grasp of fundamental accounting principles. Preferably studying for a relevant professional qualification. Familiarity and some experience of basic Lloyd’s reporting requirements. Sound knowledge of IT systems in use within the accounting function – especially Excel, Vision, Sun Accounts. Ability to produce consistently accurate work to tight deadlines. Good communication skills both verbally and in writing
