A newly created senior role is available for a Personal Lines Pricing Manager within a newly formed Pricing & Analytics team, designed to centralise and strengthen pricing capabilities. This is for a UK-based specialist underwriting business focused on motor and home insurance operates as part of a larger global insurance group. It offers a range of niche consumer and commercial products, including standard and non-standard cover, and generates over £300 million in annual gross written premium. Backed by increased investment, the pricing team will play a key role in supporting future business growth.   With more than six decades of experience, the company has grown steadily by combining responsive service, underwriting expertise, and strong broker distribution partnerships. We are working with a high-performing and growing Syndicate who are seeking a Reserving Actuary or Senior Reserving Analyst to join their team in London. The role reports into the Head of Reserving and will have exposure to the Chief Actuary and other Head of Function Actuaries. This role has clear progression to management which makes it well suited to someone looking for a step up in responsibility with clear ownership over their work, and a plan for progression.  The work will be a mixture of BAU Lloyd's reserving work along with projects such as process transformation, portfolio performance analysis, and the annual function report.  Our client are seeking someone with 3 years of reserving experience within a Syndicate or Lloyd's environment either nearly / newly qualified, or an exam stopper. Communication skills, self-motivation, and an understanding of reserving and reporting techniques are all required. The role will report into the Chief Pricing Actuary and is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced pricing actuary who enjoys working closely with underwriting, influencing strategy, and leading high-performing teams. This is a high-impact, visible role where you’ll sit at the intersection of actuarial and underwriting, supporting complex reinsurance deals and driving portfolio performance. You’ll be working across a broad mix of treaty reinsurance, including exposure to large and technically challenging risks. Responsibilities Leading pricing support for treaty reinsurance business across multiple lines Partnering directly with underwriters on complex deal pricing and structuring Delivering portfolio insights to support profitability and strategy Developing and enhancing pricing tools and models Presenting actuarial outputs clearly to senior stakeholders across the business Manage and develop a team of actuaries (including direct reports) Provide mentorship, coaching, and technical oversight Drive best practice and continuous improvement across the pricing function Play a key role in shaping the future direction of the team Requirements: Qualified Actuary (FIA or equivalent) Strong experience in reinsurance pricing (London Market experience highly desirable) Deep understanding of treaty pricing, including excess of loss and catastrophe business Proven people management experience (or clear readiness to step into a leadership role) Commercial mindset with the ability to influence underwriting decisions Strong communication skills – able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders Coding skills (Python/R) are a bonus, not essential
