We have partnered with a leading London Market insurer that’s strengthening its  Exposure Management capability, with a particular focus on non-natural catastrophe risk . They’re hiring a Senior Non-Natural Catastrophe Analyst to take ownership of how complex man-made and geopolitical perils are assessed across the group. Sitting within a central exposure function, this role works closely with underwriting leadership, catastrophe modelling, capital management, and reinsurance to ensure risk is well understood, appropriately modelled, and aligned to appetite. What makes this role stand out Clear ownership of non-natural perils including terrorism, war, marine, and aviation High visibility with senior underwriting management, boards, regulators, and investors Opportunity to shape scenario design, modelling approaches, and exposure frameworks Genuine influence over group risk view in a rapidly changing geopolitical landscape What they’re looking for An experienced catastrophe modeller or exposure analyst Strong understanding of non-natural perils and portfolio-level risk Comfortable leading regulatory submissions and complex scenario analysis Able to translate technical risk insights into clear messages for senior stakeholders Hybrid working (London-based) with a minimum of two days per week in the office. We are partnering with a well-established London Market insurer that’s expanding its Exposure Management capability within a collaborative, analytically driven team. This opportunity sits within a close-knit EM function that works alongside catastrophe risk specialists and directly supports underwriting and portfolio management. The role is hands-on and varied, combining exposure analysis, stakeholder interaction, and the ongoing evolution of reporting from manual outputs to more automated, near-real-time tools. What you’ll be doing Working closely with underwriters and actuaries on risk reviews, portfolio questions, and event response Producing clear exposure summaries and insights that inform day-to-day underwriting decisions Monitoring accumulations and helping track emerging and man-made risk themes Improving internal exposure tools through coding and automation Supporting data validation, reconciliation, and reporting for internal teams and capital providers What they’re looking for 2 years’ experience in exposure management, cat modelling, or insurance analytics Solid understanding of the Lloyd’s and London Market environment Strong data skills using Python and SQL (Power BI a bonus) Someone curious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working at pace This is a great role for someone who wants real exposure to underwriting, enjoys working with data, and is keen to grow within a high-quality exposure management team. diana.ionita@arthur.co.uk
