Senior Bordereaux Analyst

This is an exciting chance to join a business that is continuing to strengthen its delegated authority operations while investing in people who want to grow their careers. You will become a key part of a highly regarded underwriting operations function where quality, collaboration and continuous improvement are central to how the team works.

In this role you will take ownership of complex bordereaux activity across multiple classes, working closely with underwriting, finance and claims teams to ensure data is accurate and meaningful. You will have the chance to contribute to better processes, support high level reporting and become a trusted point of contact for both internal teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities
  • Receiving reviewing and processing monthly premium risk claims and paid bordereaux
  • Maintaining clear bordereaux schedules and ensuring timely ingestion into internal systems
  • Validating data sets and reviewing mapping issues
  • Investigating anomalies missing information or potential breaches within contracts
  • Resolving data queries from third party partners and outsourced processing teams
  • Supporting audit reviews from start to finish
  • Working with underwriting to monitor binder performance and highlight emerging trends
  • Collaborating with reinsurance teams to support the annual renewal process
  • Producing regular MI for committees and senior stakeholders
  • Escalating ongoing performance problems or repeated data issues
  • Providing training to third party partners and colleagues when required
Experience required
  • Extensive experience working in bordereaux oversight and processing
  • Strong knowledge of binding authority agreements and Lloyd’s reporting expectations
  • Experience handling premium risk claims and paid bordereaux
  • Advanced Excel with confidence using pivot tables and lookups
  • A strong eye for detail combined with good communication skills
  • Experience building strong relationships with brokers coverholders and internal teams

Senior Legal Counsel - Credit & Political Risk

Exclusively working with a leading (re)insurance broker who are seeking to hire a Senior Counsel. The role will support both the centralised legal function and lead the firm's Trade Credit, Political Risk and Surety division from a legal perspective. As Senior Counsel, you will be responsible for: Policy Wording Drafting & Review across Political Risk, Surety & Credit Risk. Providing guidance to clients on policy wording compliance and coverage issues, related to Basel directives. Assisting on claims and restructuring of policies. Supporting on complex financing arrangements and documentation. Supporting the central legal function across commercial contracts and regulatory advice. Providing education, training and support on relevant legal issues to the wider business. Running litigation matters and liaising with external counsel when needed. The successful candidate must be a qualified lawyer with at least 10 years PQE, with strong experience in Private Practice and In-House. Strong experience of Insurance Law, particularly in the Credit/Surety space is essential. A very attractive salary and package (bonus up to 30%) and other great benefits are on offer. This role is a hybrid position, typically 3 days a week in the office.

This is a highly varied reserving position reporting into the Head of Reserving and working closely with the Chief Actuary and various other teams within the business such as Capital, Finance and Underwriting. This is a non-regulatory role helping with reviewing, improving and implementing reserving processes for UK and US with clear progression and ownership over work, including opportunities to present at board.  Our client are looking for a part to nearly qualified actuarial analyst with 2 years of reserving experience, and an understanding of the impact and importance of the work they do. This would be well suited to someone in consulting looking to move into industry and still wanting a breadth of work. This role will require you to be in the office 3 days a week in London and our client can only consider UK based individuals with full working rights.
