Delegated Authority

Senior DUA Analyst

London, Greater London, South East, England
£50000 - £65000 per annum
Permanent
Job Ref:BH-23622
This is a standout opportunity for a technically strong Delegated Authority professional who wants a clear pathway for development in their career. You will join a growing platform where delegated authority is central to the strategy, not an afterthought and where you will be trusted to run the day to day and shape how oversight evolves.

You will gain full lifecycle exposure across binders and lineslips, work directly with coverholders and TPAs, and play a key role in designing smarter oversight processes with technology and data at the heart of it.

Working closely with an experienced delegated authority leader, you will oversee a small but expanding portfolio of binders and lineslips across underwriting and claims. This is a hands on role suited to someone who has done due diligence, audit and bordereaux management end to end and now wants to step up into a senior position with greater autonomy.

Key responsibilities
  • Managing end to end delegated authority activity across binders and lineslips from onboarding through to renewal
  • Conducting coverholder and TPA due diligence including pre bind reviews and ongoing assessments
  • Overseeing bordereaux receipt, validation and challenge across underwriting and claims
  • Supporting the claims team with onboarding and ongoing management of TPAs
  • Engaging directly with coverholders, brokers and internal stakeholders to resolve data and governance queries
  • Monitoring performance and identifying trends across underwriting and claims data
  • Supporting audit activity and ensuring remediation actions are tracked to completion
  • Contributing to wider operational initiatives including exposure management and outwards reinsurance activity
  • Playing an active role in shaping how technology and automation can enhance due diligence, audit and data review processes
  • This business recognises that delegated authority oversight will change rapidly over the next few years. You will be encouraged to think critically about how AI and data tooling can improve due diligence, slip reviews and audit analysis.
  • You will be part of designing and embedding smarter processes rather than simply operating them. As the portfolio grows the intention is not to build a large team of analysts but to build a more efficient and technology enabled function.

Experience required
  • Strong experience within delegated authority in the Lloyd’s or London Market
  • Hands on exposure to due diligence, audit and bordereaux management across binders and lineslips
  • Strong understanding of regulatory expectations and delegated authority governance
  • Confident managing stakeholders across underwriting, claims, compliance and finance
  • Analytical mindset with strong comfort working with data
  • Self starter who takes ownership and sees tasks through to completion
  • Interest in how technology and automation can improve delegated authority oversight

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Analyst or a strong Analyst ready to step up, who wants a genuine route to grow and have company wide exposur as the book expands through the year and beyond.

If you are looking to move from pure processing into ownership, design and leadership within delegated authority, please get in touch for a confidential discussion.

Cloud Platform Engineering Lead

London, Greater London, South East, England

£90000 per annum

Permanent

Cloud Platform Lead | London | Hybrid (3 days in the office) |Permanent Build the cloud platform that others depend on. We’re partnered with a high‑performing, London‑based Insurer operating at scale in a highly regulated environment. The organisation is investing heavily in its cloud capability and is now hiring a Cloud Platform Engineering Lead to take full ownership of its cloud platform and shape how cloud is delivered across the business. This is a true platform engineering leadership role — not just keeping the lights on, but designing, evolving and running a secure, scalable cloud platform treated as a product. Why this role stands out Real ownership – end‑to‑end responsibility for the cloud platform Hands‑on leadership – stay technical while setting standards and direction Engineering‑led culture – platform as a product, not a utility Modern cloud estate – Azure‑first (with some AWS), IaC, CI/CD, automation Strategic visibility – work closely with Architecture, Security and senior IT leadership Influence without bureaucracy – small internal team, clear decision‑making You’ll act as the technical authority for cloud, owning standards, guardrails and outcomes, while steering a trusted cloud services partner to deliver high‑quality BAU and project work. What you’ll be doing Owning the cloud platform architecture (Azure‑first, AWS exposure) Designing and evolving shared platform services: Landing zones Networking & identity Security controls & guardrails Observability, backup & DR Treating cloud as a product with roadmaps, standards and continuous improvement Remaining hands‑on with: Terraform & Infrastructure‑as‑Code CI/CD pipelines and automation Reusable modules and engineering patterns Embedding security‑by‑design (NIST, ISO, GDPR principles) Acting as a senior escalation point for incidents and outages Leading FinOps practices – cost control, optimisation and transparency Managing and directing a UK‑based cloud services partner from a position of strong technical ownership What we’re looking for 8 years’ experience designing and operating cloud platforms (Azure essential) Strong background in platform engineering , not just infrastructure operations Proven expertise with Terraform and lifecycle management of IaC Deep understanding of: Cloud security, networking and identity CI/CD and DevOps practices Containers and modern deployment patterns High availability, backup and disaster recovery Cloud cost optimisation / FinOps Experience working in regulated or security‑sensitive environments Confident communicator able to influence engineers, architects, partners and stakeholders  Experience in insurance or financial services is helpful but not essential — strong cloud engineering capability and leadership matter most. You’ll be part of a lean, senior team , working alongside the Architecture Team (EA and Domain), with additional 3rd Party partner support. This gives you space to focus on quality, standards and strategic improvements , not firefighting. If you’re looking for a hands‑on cloud leadership role where your decisions genuinely shape the platform and the engineering culture, this is one worth exploring.  Confidential discussions welcome.
