We are delighted to be partnering with a leading Insurance business to recruit an experienced Financial Accountant for a key hire within their Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with insurance sector experience to join a highly respected organisation operating across multiple international entities and branches. The successful candidate will gain broad exposure across financial reporting, reinsurance, taxation, reconciliations and process improvement. Key Responsibilities Ownership of monthend accounting entries relating to inbound underwriting transactions, covering areas such as earned premium recognition, claims movements and fronting activity. Analyse monthly financial results for several entities, reviewing both individual company performance and consolidated group reporting and prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations. Contribute to the year-end reporting cycle through the production of statutory accounts and supporting schedules. Prepare indirect and direct tax returns, including corporate tax and insurance premium tax, across multiple jurisdictions. Support year-end audit processes and liaise with external auditors where required. Manage outward reinsurance administration Identify opportunities to streamline, standardise and digitise finance processes. Build strong relationships with underwriting, claims, actuarial, tax and wider business functions. You must be; ACA / ACCA qualified, or equivalent with 5 years’ relevant experience. You will play a key role in analysing audit outputs, identifying risks and driving meaningful improvements across governance and oversight.
