My highly established Insurance client is looking to appoint a Senior Cyber and Resilience leader into a highly important role.

This is a high-impact opportunity to shape and deliver enterprise-wide cyber security and operational resilience capability within a regulated, business-critical environment.

The Role
Working closely with senior leadership, you will take responsibility for defining and delivering cyber strategy, resilience frameworks and incident response capability, ensuring the organisation can operate securely and respond effectively to disruption. This role sits at the intersection of technology, operations and risk, with strong visibility across executive stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and deliver a cyber security and resilience strategy aligned to business priorities
  • Lead cyber and resilience programmes, improving maturity across controls, processes and capability
  • Act as the senior lead during major cyber or operational incidents
  • Own and evolve risk frameworks, policies and security standards
  • Support regulatory and assurance requirements across a multi-jurisdiction environment
  • Partner with Technology and Change teams to embed secure-by-design practices
  • Lead and develop a high-performing cyber/security function
  • Provide senior stakeholders with clear visibility of cyber risk and resilience posture

Experience Required
  • Experience in a senior cyber security leadership role (CISO, Head of InfoSec, or strong #2 stepping up)
  • Background within financial services or similarly regulated environments
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Cyber risk & governance
  • Security operations & incident response
  • Operational resilience / crisis management
  • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, ISO27001 (or equivalent)
  • Track record of delivering measurable improvements in security maturity
