The role combines statutory and syndicate reporting, UK to US GAAP consolidation, and the development of finance controls. You’ll work closely with the UK Technical Accounting Officer and have scope to take ownership of technical accounting work from the outset. The role Prepare syndicate annual accounts for filing with Lloyd’s and support statutory reporting under FRS 102 and FRS 103. Own the UK GAAP to US GAAP consolidation walk, including adjustments, postings and reconciliation of results. Account for consortium income and expenses, including postings and reconciliations. Support the quarterly UK group flash forecast, monthly ledger activities and other technical accounting projects. Your background You’ll ideally be ACA or CA qualified, with around three years or more of post-qualification experience gained in insurance, either within an insurer or a leading audit and accounting firm. Experience of Lloyd’s syndicate accounts, UK and US GAAP differences, or finance controls would be particularly relevant.
