A leading UK regulated financial services and insurance business is seeking a Head of Risk to lead and further develop its Group-wide risk and governance framework.
This is a high-profile leadership role, offering direct exposure to Executive and Board-level stakeholders and the opportunity to shape risk strategy across a growing organisation.

The Opportunity Reporting into senior leadership, you will take ownership of the risk management framework, embedding best practice risk governance and supporting the business in achieving its strategic objectives.

  • Governance and Board Reporting

  • Third Party & Supplier Risk Management
  • Risk Event & Incident Management
  • Financial Crime Oversight

You will work closely with business leaders across the organisation to identify, assess and manage key risks whilst continuing to strengthen risk culture and governance arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the ongoing development and maturity of the Group risk framework.
  • Own and maintain risk registers, risk appetite and risk reporting.
  • Deliver insightful reporting to Executive Committees and Boards.
  • Drive operational resilience strategy and testing programmes.
  • Oversee third-party, supplier and outsourcing risk frameworks.
  • Lead risk assessments across business functions.
  • Support the implementation and utilisation of risk management systems.
  • Promote a strong risk culture across the organisation.
  • Provide pragmatic risk advice to senior stakeholders and business leaders.
About You We are keen to speak with candidates who possess:
  • Significant risk management experience within a regulated insurance or financial services environment.
  • Experience operating at Head of Risk, Senior Risk Manager, Enterprise Risk Manager or similar level.
  • Strong knowledge of FCA regulatory requirements and governance frameworks.
  • Experience building, enhancing or embedding enterprise risk frameworks.
  • Board and Executive Committee reporting experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Operational resilience and risk governance expertise.

Delegated Authority Specialist A fantastic opportunity to join a growing Delegated Authority function within a major London Market insurance business. Two permanent positions are available for individuals with a good amount of DA experience who are ready to take on broader responsibility across the delegated lifecycle. The team is looking for people who can bring both technical DA knowledge and a wider understanding of the London Market. Experience within a business operating across both company and syndicate platforms would be particularly valuable. Portfolio management experience will also be considered. This is a great opportunity to join a developing function with strong exposure to underwriting and senior stakeholders. Key responsibilities: • Supporting the onboarding and ongoing oversight of Delegated Authority arrangements. • Managing activity across the full lifecycle including renewals and offboarding. • Working closely with Underwriters to support new delegated arrangements and existing business. • Supporting the oversight of governance and control requirements across the DUA portfolio. • Identifying process gaps and supporting improvements across the function. • Producing management information and reporting for senior stakeholders. • Supporting the development of dashboards and improved reporting. • Managing issues through to resolution while maintaining strong oversight of risk and controls. • Working closely with Underwriting, Claims, Risk, Compliance and wider operational teams. • Contributing to projects focused on improving systems and the overall Delegated Authority framework. Experience you’ll need: • Around 2 to 3 years+ of Delegated Authority experience. • Experience within the London Market or wider commercial insurance market. • Exposure to both company and Lloyd’s syndicate business would be highly desirable. • Portfolio management experience will also be considered. • Good understanding of the Delegated Authority lifecycle. • Strong stakeholder management skills. • Good analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
