Senior Pricing Actuary

We are supporting a global risk carrier exclusively with their search for a Senior Pricing Actuary to join their team in London. The role reports  into the Head of Pricing and is a business facing role working closely with stakeholders, mainly the Chief Actuary, Portfolio Analytics team, and underwriters. This is a varied opportunity working across all products with a focus on case pricing along with model validation / calibration, business planning, portfolio analysis, and assessing underwriting profitability. It would be best suited to an Actuary looking for a step up in responsibility and more ownership over the work that they do. Our client are seeking a pricing actuary with 5 years of experience covering case pricing, presenting to stakeholders or at committees, and exposure to model calibration and validation. Qualification isn't required as they hold breadth and depth experience to a higher regard, and they are flexible on specific product knowledge.  This role is up to £130k with a minimum of 2 days a week in the office.

We are supporting a top client who are seeking an experienced Capital Actuary to join their team in London. This is a newly created role to focus on development of the Group Model internationally whilst streamlining and improving processes. This role reports into the Capital Manager and will have significant exposure to stakeholders at all levels, and globally. This role will be leading the project through analysing the existing processes and work flows to identify how to improve them to benefit the business, which means that there will be clear autonomy and ownership over work. Other responsibilities include portfolio analysis, risk parameterisation, and validation.  Our client are seeking an ambitious and self-motivated nearly / newly qualified actuary, or exam stopper, with at least 3 years of capital modelling experience within general insurance. Communication skills, ability to think outside the box, and confidence to push back against stakeholders are highly important skills for this role too. Reserving Actuary

Arthur is delighted to be collaborating with a global insurance and reinsurance provider who are seeking a Reserving Actuary to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to support quarterly reserving across a broad international portfolio, providing insight into business performance and contributing to regulatory and financial reporting. Responsibilities: • Support the quarterly reserving process, including analysis of projections and actual versus expected movements. • Produce reserve estimates and contribute to reporting for reserving committees, clearly explaining key drivers and areas of uncertainty. • Perform reserving analysis to support assessments of business performance and profitability. • Contribute to Solvency II technical provisions and IFRS17 reporting. • Work closely with underwriters and claims teams to understand portfolio performance and emerging trends. • Carry out deep-dive analysis on specific reserving issues and areas of interest. • Collaborate with finance and risk teams to ensure actuarial outputs are accurately reflected in financial reporting. • Support business planning and provide input into underwriting and reinsurance opinions where required. • Provide guidance and support to junior members of the actuarial team. Requirements: • Qualified actuary (FIA or equivalent) with a degree in Mathematics or a related subject. • Strong experience in general insurance reserving and actuarial valuation techniques. • Good understanding of London Market or global (re)insurance business. • Proficient in Excel; experience with VBA, SQL or similar tools is advantageous. • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. • Able to investigate and interpret claims trends and external drivers. • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal. • Able to manage workload independently and meet deadlines. • Willing to support team development and contribute to a collaborative working environment.
