The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Officer to join a growing insurance organisation, supporting the oversight of delegated underwriting arrangements and helping to maintain a robust compliance framework across regulated entities. Working closely with senior compliance stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, promoting a strong compliance culture, and supporting governance and risk management activities. What you’ll do Support the maintenance and enhancement of the compliance framework across regulated business entities. Provide second-line oversight of delegated underwriting partners and third-party distribution arrangements. Conduct onboarding reviews and due diligence assessments for delegated authority partners. Review management information and monitoring outputs, identifying and escalating compliance concerns where appropriate. Assess regulatory and conduct risks, helping to ensure effective controls and governance arrangements are in place. Support the review and development of policies, procedures and conflict management frameworks. Monitor regulatory developments and assist with embedding regulatory change across the business. Prepare reports, analysis and management information for governance committees and senior stakeholders. Promote compliance awareness and help foster a culture focused on good customer outcomes and regulatory excellence. Maintain compliance records and support the delivery of monitoring and assurance activities. Who we’re looking for Degree educated or professionally qualified in a relevant discipline. A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a compliance role within the insurance sector. Knowledge of UK and European regulatory requirements relevant to insurance and delegated authority business models. Experience supporting delegated authority, MGA, broker, or distribution oversight activities. Strong understanding of conduct risk, consumer outcomes, product governance and regulatory compliance principles. Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and apply them pragmatically within a commercial environment. Experience producing reports, governance papers and management information for senior stakeholders. Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with confidence engaging across all levels of the business. Self-motivated, proactive and committed to maintaining high professional and ethical standards.

Strong insurance and reinsurance background, with strong exposure to the London market and regulated environments. Experience advising on regulatory, governance, compliance, and commercial matters. Familiarity with UK and European regulatory frameworks. Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
